Horses' need for self-preservation creates socially harmonious herds. Equine herd dynamics utilize, demonstrate, and model the same human qualities found in functional families necessary to form healthy relationships. Horses don't care who you are, what you've done, or what you believe. They care how you behave with them. This enables unconditional acceptance, creating self-worth, which can be hard to obtain with typical therapy methods. 

Equine-assisted therapy has become one of the most beneficial and cost-effective programs by creating breakthroughs in self-awareness that occurred from simply interacting with a horse. 

Having been through family court with special needs children, I know the emotional and financial costs, unpredictable outcomes, and the absence of resources.
