small group classes for adults and children

Participants come from all ages and backgrounds. We have participants under five and over 80. Horses don't judge. Some have never touched a horse, others may have had a bad experience on a horse and never gone back.

No matter your background, the program adjusts to where you are on a class-by-class basis. The goal is to build awareness of how you communicate and then build the skills to communicate with various horses. Participants find they are immediately more regulated, and the skills they learn translate instantly into personal relationships.

A horse's personality can challenge a participant out of their comfort zone creating lasting change. Activities are small and structured to build confidence and a sense of accomplishment.

Class Components:

  • Horse Sense:  What is Your Horse Telling You? What are You Telling Your Horse?
  • Groundwork:  Through Principles of Natural Horsemanship, You Will Set Boundaries, Use Your Energy to "Speak Horse," and Appropriately Apply and Release Pressure to Create Your Intended Result
  • Horse Care:  Grooming and Horse Care...The Quiet Selfcare So Few of Us Allow Ourselves
  • Processing:  Participants Will Be Able to Process Their Experience With Our Class Leader and Other Participants Who Have Walked Similar Paths

Co-parenting is hard enough, but when you have a child who has special needs or is struggling, small disagreements or parenting approaches often become a chasm with high court involvement and delayed intervention for the child. Two loving parents who are scared for their child can experience the most trauma. Our courses can be done individually or with your co-parent to find a path forward.
